Mordor Orcs

Here are the first of my Mordor Orcs for GW's Lord of the Rings game. Did I mention that I love this game? These guys are equipped with two-handed weapons.

I have a bunch more of these to paint but I think I will be doing them in small batches. More to come later.

Pulp Character

Here is the first of the figures I am doing for some Adventure gaming. The figure is from Copplestone Castings.

Now I need to think up a name and a background story for this guy. I have a few more Pulp figures on the paint table and hope to have them done soon.

They have a Cave Troll...

This is the first painting project I have completed in several weeks. I found this to be one of the toughest figures to paint even with detailed painting instructions from GW. The blending of flesh tones to grey-black tones was very hard to get right. I am pleased with the results but I am sure I can do better.

I figure I will need a couple more trolls for all the different Lord of the Rings stuff I plan to do. I'll get it right next time.

The Deathwing

With the release of the new Dark Angels Codex for Warhammer 40K I thought it was about time I posted some inspiration. These pictures are of my Deathwing army that I painted last summer. I posted some (or maybe all) of these pictures on the Adeptus Arizona forum but I never got around to putting them on my main web-site.

First up is the Headquaters unit.

Next up are the Deathwing Dreadnoughts.

This army has two troop units (which are no longer legal under the new codex).

All of the terminators have the Deathwing symbol on the right shoulder pad. These are from some very old transfer sheets.

Here is a close-up of one of the Sergents.

For Heavy Support we have the Landraider Crusader.

This army is a lot of fun to play but it was very tough to win with the old codex. Hopefully the new rules will allow for more flexibilty in the army creation which should translate to greater success on the battlefield.

Not Much Painting Going On

As you can see I have not been doing much painting for the last couple of weeks. I have been concentrating on getting our house ready to sell. I am planning on moving closer to my work and into a larger house. Part of the plan involves taking down my painting table. It will be moved out to the garage and I might still be able to use it, but I will probably switch back to the cart as my painting area.

I have added some figures to the collection (Sssh! Don't tell my wife). I recently aquired some GW Harad foot for the Lord of the Rings to add to my small collection. I also ordered (through a freind) some Copplestone figures for pulp era gaming. I will get some pictures up as soon as I find time to work on them.

The Night Lords army listed below is still for sale but I am beginning to think no one is interested. Oh well, I guess I will just have to keep it.

Nightlords For Sale

I have decided (again) to put my Warhamer 40K Nightlords army up for sale. This is a very nice army and a few years ago it was my main 40K army. In fact, it is the only 40K that I have a winning record with. I have since moved on to other things (and I have 5 other 40K armies that I am more interested in).

This army has alot of custom work. Most of the figures are conversion with only a small number being stock. My friend Tim built all the models and I did the painting.

I am looking for $300 cash or possibly an equivelent amount in trade. I would also consider a combination of trade and cash. For trade items I am interested in Warhammer Fantasy Battles Beasts of Chaos, Hordes of Chaos - Lord of the Rings characters, Rohan, Gondor, Ring Wraiths - 40k Kroot (Shapaers, Hounds, Krootox), Cadians, Deamonhunters, Assasins, Missionaries, etc. I am also interested in Necromunda and Mordheim figures. Let me know what you have becasue I might just be interested.

Here are some pictures of what I have.

Chaos Lord

Chosen

HQ Rhino

Chaos Space Marine Squad 1

Squad 2

Squad 2 Rhino

Raptor Squad 1

Raptor Squad 2

Bike Squad

Predator

I would prefer to keep this a local deal, so I will only sell to someone that can pick it up in person. It is just too much of a pain to try and ship.

Cutthroat Miniatures

Cutthroat Miniatures

This is an interestesting little painting blog. I found the Kroot entry interesting. Nice to see what the Kroot might have looked like if I was still 'dipping'.
