Anyway, Tim painted a Confederate Brigadier and one regiment of troops. Hopefully, this will inspire me to get back to this project but that does not seem likely. It took me 2 weeks just to base these and add a banner. I do have two more regiments on the paint table but they have been sitting there for weeks with no progress.

First Batch of 28mm Confederates
Anyway, Tim painted a Confederate Brigadier and one regiment of troops. Hopefully, this will inspire me to get back to this project but that does not seem likely. Wow, those look good, now you need to get some painted, we are one step closer to getting a Black Powder game on the table.
I've seen some of these in person and they do look awesome.
I'm always astounded by how much light a camera needs to take bright photos. I feel like I'm practically blinded by my lights, and the pictures come out like they were taken in a dark hallway.
To take really good pictures of miniatures, you need to have a light behind you shining directly on the miniature. Also, since you need to really open up the shutter, a tripod is a must. The delay between pressing the button for the picture and the actual picture can take 10+ seconds using this method. However, the pictures come out excellent.
I should note, that a good friend showed me this method and it works like a champ. I wish I could take credit for it :)
