1940 French Infantry Squad

Here is my first painted squad of 1940 French Infantry. Sorry about the picture above. The faces are a little washed out under the flash. These were all painted starting with a black undercoat and the following colors:

Coats - Vallejo 70-921 English Uniform

Pants and Putees - Vallejo 70-879 Green Brown

Canvas gear - Vallejo 70-881 Yellow Green

Helmet - Vallejo 70-888 Olive Grey

For variety mix in difference colors of tan and khaki for the gear. Some of the helmets are painted with Vallejo 70-887 Brown Violet. These has all been 'dipped' for shadowing and to make them look dirtier.

Here is another picture without the flash. These are painted to my gaming standard. Now I just need to finish the rest of the platoon and the support weapons.
