28mm Fallschirmjager Figure Comparison Part 2

Here is a follow-up to my previous post comparing different Fallschirmjager figures. Sometimes it is tough to see how well figures work together by looking at the bare metal so I thought I would paint the same three figures to see how they look. I think they look even better together painted.

I think the paint really pulls them together. They all look good, and any slight design differences might keep them from seeming too uniform.

That actually helps a lot. They mix well.

I think I will prep my Russians tonight.

I still think the Black Tree have some issues...that said, the painting and basing does pull them together. It looks from the basing that you are doing them up early for Crete...

These guys will work for Crete, Sicily and Italy really. They are painted in the feild grey and green uniform. Helmets will be a mix of grey and covered. This uniform was the most common from 1941 on. i have tried some splinter and it did not turn out right so I will stick with the plain look. These are dead easy to paint.

Rob,

What colors are you using for the base's?? I am not satisfied with what I use & I like what you got on these.

I am using Americana Honey Brown with a dry brush of Vallejo Iraqi Sand 70819

Dude, your using that Honey brown like I use Mudstone now! Lol!

What colours did you use for the figures. I trawled the site but you don't do any painting walkthroughs that i could find.

Hi Phil,

I haven't done a proper painting write-up on the these guys but I should have. Fo the jump smocks and helmet covers I used Vallejo 886 Green Grey; for the trousers and pouches Vallejo 830 German Fieldgrey; for uncovered helmets Vallejo 868 Dark Seagreen.
